Russian oil giant Rosneft has signed a deal to explore for and develop energy in Bolivia, the state-run YPFB concern said.
The company signed a memorandum of understanding with Rosneft to undertake "a study of all areas of exploration" in Bolivia's energy sector, according to a statement by Carlos Villegas, president of YPFB, which stands for Yacimientos Petroliferos Fiscales Bolivianos.
Rosneft will become the second Russian concern after Gazprom to explore for oil and gas in Bolivia.
