INMETRO Approvals for Brazilian Market

SOR has acquired INMETRO (National Institute of Metrology, Quality and Technology) approvals for a range of pressure and level products including the 1500 series level switches, 102/103 differential pressure switches, mini-hermet pressure and temperature switches, RF transmitter model 651, B and R series pressure and temperature switches and the 800 series pressure switch-transmitters. INMETRO is required on all products imported for use in Brazil.

In order to gain Inmetro approvals, SOR hosted a personal visit from an inspector from TUV Rheinland to verify compliance of SOR products and quality control to Inmetro standards. This visit and resulting audit report were in addition to product literature and test reports with product drawings that were submitted to INMETRO during the application process.
