Datum360 will provide their highly innovative SaaS solutions PIM360 and CLS360 together with high-quality consultancy support services to deliver information management capabilities. The contract will run for a minimum of 2 years.
This award extends the existing partnership with GDF SUEZ E&P UK where Datum360 have provided Engineering Information consultancy services since early 2012.
Steve Wilson, Chief Executive of Datum360 said, We are delighted that, after a period of evaluation, we were chosen by GDF SUEZ E&P UK to work with them throughout the life of the Cygnus project. GDF SUEZ E&P UK has recognised that Datum360 can help ensure their Engineering Information can be quickly imported, accessed, validated and reported on to ensure a smooth handover to Operations. Thanks to the fast response of our team of specialists and with the added benefit of our cloud-based, SaaS deployment model, we have been able to deploy the technology and enable the Project team to adopt the new processes in a short period of time. With first production on the Cygnus field due in 2015, I am looking forward to helping the GDF SUEZ E&P UK team deliver engineering information as it should be.
An Information Management spokesman for GDF SUEZ E&P UK commented, We have been impressed by the straightforward deployment, data interfacing, and performance of the PIM360 system. When taken in combination with the professional expertise of the Datum360 team, the results so far have been very encouraging.
Cygnus is located in the Southern North Sea, 150 kilometres off the coast of Lincolnshire. It has gross 2P reserves of approximately 18 billion cubic metres. Due to be operational by the end of 2015 and led by operator GDF SUEZ E&P UK (38.75%) with partners Centrica (48.75%) and Bayerngas (12.5%), the Cygnus field is the largest discovery in the Southern North Sea in 25 years. Peak gas production is expected to account for 5% of UK domestic gas production, meeting the demand of almost 1.5 million homes in the country.
