Keppel Telecommunications & Transportation Ltd (Keppel T&T), has strengthened its Board of Directors with the appointment of Mr Loh Chin Hua, CEO-Designate and Chief Financial Officer of Keppel Corporation Limited (Keppel Corporation), as a non-independent, non-executive Director with effect from 1 December 2013.
Mr Teo Soon Hoe, Chairman of Keppel T&T said, "We are pleased to welcome Chin Hua, who brings to the Board his wealth of experience in investment and management, as the Group continues its drive to expand its core businesses and deliver shareholder value."
Mr Loh is currently the Chairman of Alpha Investment Partners (Alpha) and holds directorships in several Keppel companies including Keppel Offshore & Marine Ltd, Keppel Land Limited, Keppel REIT Management Limited and Keppel Infrastructure Holdings Pte Ltd, as well as various fund companies and subsidiaries.
Mr Loh has over 25 years of experience in real estate investing and fund management spanning the US, Europe and Asia. He was appointed as Keppel Corporation's Chief Financial Officer in January 2012, and was named as its CEO-Designate on 18 July 2013. Mr Loh has been supporting Keppel Corporation's CEO in strategic business planning, major investment initiatives and decisions, financing strategy as well as investor relations.
Prior to this, Mr Loh was Managing Director of Keppel Land's real estate fund management arm, Alpha, which he founded in 2003. Under his leadership, Alpha has grown its assets under management to over S$10.5 billion. Prior to Alpha, Mr Loh was Managing Director at Prudential Investment Management Inc, and held several senior appointments in the Government of Singapore Investment Corporation.
Mr Loh, 52, was a Colombo Plan Scholar and holds a Bachelor in Property Administration from Auckland University as well as a Presidential Key Executive MBA from the Pepperdine University. He is also a Chartered Financial Analyst and a Registered Valuer from the New Zealand Institute of Valuers.
