Transporting materials via pipeline is a growing market all around the world. To take maximum advantage of these transport routes, there is growing interest in pipeline safety. Together with partners ILF Consulting Engineers and TUV Nord, KROHNE Academy is offering a series of lectures to provide an overview of the official guidelines, safety requirements and technologies for pipelines as part of the nationwide seminar series entitled “Safety requirements for planning and operation of pipelines”/ "Sicherheitsanforderungen bei Planung und Betrieb von Pipelines”. Pipeline technology journal ptj is supporting the series as media partner.
Spanning 4 cities across Germany from February 25 to March 13 for 2 days each, these conferences are aimed at engineers, operators and EPCs of oil, gas, refined or chemical pipelines. The lecture topics on day 1 address key issues such as pipeline design, risk assement, leak detection and also protection of SCADA systems against cyber attacks. Day 2 presents workshops about leak detection and (custody) transfer and measurement solutions and also practical trainings on both topics. The lectures will be held in German. It is possible to attend one or both days.
In addition to the seminar program, an exhibition featuring pipeline safety solutions will be running during the break times. This exhibition provides an ideal opportunity for attendees to gather additional information and to speak with the experts and benefit from their vast application knowledge.
The KROHNE Academy is not a product promoting conference. Instead, it aims to bring industry experts together under one roof to provide insights into the various technologies, industrial standards and procedures facing pipeline operators.
