A deputy petroleum minister has said that more than 90 percent progress has been made in the designing of an electronic procurement system for the Petroleum Ministry.
Emad Hosseini said the electronic system, designed for facilitating the procurement of commodities, lies within the framework of the Petroleum Ministry’s integration policies.
“Operation of this system will eliminate many parallel jobs in the petroleum industry,” he said.
Hosseini said another objective behind this system would be to support domestic manufacturing and improve business environment in the petroleum industry.
“Accelerating the definition of standards for petroleum industry equipment and training experts for technical and qualitative inspection are among activities we will focus upon,” he said.
