Seiko Instruments Inc. announced the S-1910x series voltage detector with SENSE pin for automotive use that enhances reliability in voltage monitoring and CPU reset functions for safer system operation. The S-1910x series voltage detectors monitor a supply voltage and send reset signals if the supply voltage drops below the set point, allowing equipment and devices to recover safely. An added SENSE pin is featured which allows stable output even when the SENSE pin voltage drops to 0V. The innovative S-1910x series is the perfect match for voltage monitoring and CPU reset functions needed in automotive entertainment systems, audio systems, navigation systems and information displays.
The S-1910x series was specifically developed to meet the demanding high quality requirements for automotive use, and will be AEC-Q100 certified (Automotive Electronics Council reliability stress test). The S-1910x series has a wide operating voltage range from 0.95V to 10V, broad operating temperature range from -40 to 105 degrees C, low current consumption of 500nA, and a detection voltage range 1.2V to 5.0V in 0.1V steps. Further detection voltages can be set by the customer through the use of a resistance divider or diode. The S-1910x has options available with a delay circuit or without a delay circuit, and comes in the lead-free and halogen-free SOT-23-5 package.
SII has a well-established and recognized track record for providing reliable serial EEPROMs to automotive manufacturers and holds the No.1 market share in Japan. SII continues to improve device reliability and to expand product line-up for automotive applications.
