On 5-6 November 2014, upon the initiative of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR), the 2nd SOCAR OGPC Forum devoted to the project of new Oil and Gas Processing and Petrochemical Complex will be organized in the Fairmont Baku Hotel. The organisers of the forum are Caspian Event Organisers (CEO), Iteca Caspian and INBC consulting. The second forum provides a unique opportunity for the leading global and local companies to present at senior management level their expertise, technologies, innovative solutions and other resources in the field of oil refining and gas processing, which could be useful within the implementation of the OGPC project.
At present, the OGPC is moving into the very important and actual execution stage of the project - EPC stage. The aim of this year's forum is to provide a peculiar platform for interaction and cooperation between the companies that will be directly involved in the construction and other activities within the implementation of gas processing and petrochemical plants. EPC and engineering contractors, licensors, global manufacturers and suppliers of oil and gas processing and petrochemical industry equipment; construction and logistics companies; material and solution providers; technological, financial and environmental consultants; legal and financial experts are invited to attend the forum.
Companies can participate in the forum as sponsors and/or speakers, delegates, by placing a display stand or advertisement in the forum catalogue. The Forum, which will last two days, will cover the following topics: EPC Stages of Large-scale Oil and Gas processing and Petrochemical Projects; Technological Innovations in Downstream; Major equipment, Materials and Services for OGPC Project; Financial, Economic and Legal Characteristics of Oil and Gas Processing and Petrochemical Projects; Marketing and Logistics Trends of OGPC Feedstock and Product Markets; and Local Contractors’ Experience in Large-scale Projects. The welcoming speech will be made by the President of SOCAR Mr. Rovnaq Abdullayev. The participation of high-level senior officials from relevant government agencies, vice-presidents of SOCAR and CEOs of leading global companies, who will present unique industry technologies, and expertise in such kind of projects, is expected. Presentations will be made by Tofiq Gahramanov, Vice-president of SOCAR of Strategic Development; Kenan Yavuz, President/CEO of “SOCAR-Turkey Energy'', Afgan Isayev, Adviser to SOCAR President, Emil Alkhasli, Deputy General Director of OGPC, Robert Storey, Managing Director of the STAR Refinery project in Turkey and a number of other speakers.
