Parsian Gas Refining Company has manufactured 1,100 control ball valves, said companyís managing director. Farshid Abdali Dehdezi said the country has developed the capacity and technical know-how required for construction of these spare parts.
Parsian Gas Refining Company has also constructed spare parts for rotating machinery and compressors, he added.
He also said that the company has plans to develop mechanisms for calculating the amount of savings as a result of measures the country has taken to improve self- sufficiency.
The Western governments imposed tough sanctions on the Islamic Republic of Iran in recent years under the pretext that Tehranís nuclear technology is aimed at producing atomic bomb, what Iran has repeatedly rejected.
Although anti-Iran sanctions have caused major problems for the country, Iran looked at them as an opportunity to enhance self-sufficiency in production of the items it required for different parts of industry and cut reliance on imported items which are currently barred from entering Iran under the sanctions.
