Alderley Process Technologies, has recently delivered a produced water treatment package for the Halul Island Produced Water Modification Project. This contract was awarded by TOTAL Exploration & Production Qatar (TEPQ).
The scope of supply delivered included: 2 x 28” Hydrocyclone vessels fitted with Alderley’s market leading AP20 Deoiling Hydrocyclones together with ‘quick opening’ closures; 1 x Compact Flotation Unit (CFU) vessel together with associated equipment including oil-in-water analysers; and a Chemical Injection system. This package is designed to treat 364.4 m3h-1of produced water with an inlet oil concentration of up to 4% (by volume) to achieve a guaranteed outlet of <40 ppm(v).

This produced water treatment package was designed to international standards and manufactured at Alderley’s Jebel Ali facility, before being installed and operated on Halul Island, Qatar. Halul Island is situated approximately 80km off the Doha coast and is the major storage and export terminal for the offshore oil fields of Qatar.
