The capacity of crude oil storage at Bahregan facility has increased to 5.8 million barrels, managing-director of Iranian Offshore Oil Company (IOOC) has said.

Saeed Hafezi said Bahregan oil projects are progressing in a satisfactory manner.

He said that Saudi Arabia and Kuwait are able to replace Iran in terms of heavy and light crude oil supplies in the market, but they will never be able to produce oil as qualitative as IOOC’s.

Earlier, two 500,000-barrel storage facilities had been constructed in Bahregan region.
