Gazpromneft-Lubricants, operator of Gazprom Neft’s lubricants division, has become the first company to offer ex-quay bunkering services for lubricants from the Marine Façade passenger port, St Petersburg, delivering the first such service, direct from the quay, to cruise ship Marco Polo.
This foray into a new service at the St Petersburg passenger port will allow Gazpromneft-Lubricants to significantly increase sales of marine oils, and ship-owning companies to reduce servicing time in port.
Gazpromneft-Lubricants CEO Alexander Trukhan commented: “Ex-quay bunkering of is one of the company’s most important areas of activity, in which we’ve already been active for more than three years. New technological set-ups, developed by us in conjunction with port professionals, allow us to service vessels with the materials they need, as quickly as possible.”
The St Petersburg Marine Façade passenger port is the first — and, so far, the only — specialist passenger port in North—West Russia, and the largest in the Baltic region, visited by more than 250 vessels and more than 500,000 passengers in 2013.
