Estimate for 2006
The demand for OPEC crude in 2006 is expected to average 30.1 mb/d. On a quarterly basis, thenew forecast shows that demand for OPEC crude was 31.3 mb/d in the first, 29.6 mb/d in thesecond, 30 mb/d in the third and 30.4 mb/d in the fourth quarter. According to secondary sources,average total OPEC crude capacity averaged 33.8 mb/d in 2006, up from 33.2 mb/d in 2005.

Forecast for 2007
The demand for OPEC crude in 2007 is expected to average 30.1 mb/d, representing a drop of 0.2mb/d versus 2006. On a quarterly basis, the forecast shows that demand for OPEC crude isexpected at 31.1 mb/d in the first, 29.1 mb/d in the second, 30.1 mb/d in the third and 30.1 mb/din the fourth quarter.
