Cemtrex, Inc. it is experiencing greater proposal activity in its Continuous Emission Monitoring Systems (CEMS) business.
Ravi Narayan, Vice President of Cemtrex cited several reasons for increased activity including, (i) U.S. cement plants will need to upgrade their CEMS over the next two years to measure mercury, hydrocarbons, HCl and particulate, (ii) Coal-fired power plants also have to measure mercury, HCl and organics due to pending air toxic rules,(iii) and expanding CEMS market to measure greenhouse gases including Carbon dioxide and methane due to global warming.
According to the latest forecasts in the McIlvaine Company, the world market for CEMS for ambient as well as stack applications will exceed $1 billion/yr. This includes the analyzers, software and accompanying service revenues. Cemtrex with its "IntelliPRO" and "IntelliCEM" range of CEMS packages that have been already installed at hundreds of industrial and utility facilities is well positioned to meet this expected demand in the next two years. "IntelliPRO" and "IntelliCEM" represent state of the art technology and are capable of multiplexing several stacks or Economizer outlets and presents a huge cost savings for the facilities.
