This contract, valued in excess of £5 million, has an initial term of three years with an option to extend to five years, enabling ZADCO to upgrade their Industrial Avon fleet to increase performance and ensure high levels of equipment reliability.

This new agreement provides a comprehensive scope of maintenance services including overhaul and upgrade of two gas generators to the latest ‘Avon 200’ standard, providing ZADCO with power enhancement, lower emissions and increased service life. In addition RWG will deliver local field service, technical support and assist ZADCO personnel with routine maintenance tasks, trouble shooting and periodic gas generator inspection.

Mohamed Al Marzouqi, Senior Manager Maintenance Services, Operation Support, ZADCO said, “ZADCO has a strategic target to increase sustainable production to 750 thousand barrels of oil per day by 2015. Essential to achievement of this goal is the upgrade of existing production assets to enhance performance and reliability. We selected Al Ahlia/RWG for this contract award based on their competitiveness, demonstrated experience with the Avon 200 and depth of engineering resource we require to support this project.”.

“We are pleased to award this long term maintenance & upgrade contract to RWG, integrating their services with the planned repair and upgrade of ZADCO’s existing assets within our Water Injection Plant. We are sure our equipment is in safe hands,” stated Slahadin Al Shaer, Manager Rotating Machinery, ZADCO.

Mark Forsyth, RWG’s Industrial & Marine Business Director commented, “From the outset ZADCO’s team identified equipment reliability as a critical success factor in the award of this contract. RWG has a successful track record working on Avon 200, from building the first demonstrator engine in collaboration with the OEM, to successfully completing in excess of 100 upgrades over the last seven years. Our wealth of experience combined with regional field service support and specialist ‘in-house’ repair development capability will ensure equipment reliability and lower life cycle costs for ZADCO.” For more information about related Opportunities and Key Players visit GCC Oil and Gas Projects
