Sembcorp Named ‘Top 10 Successful Asean Companies In China’

Sembcorp Industries (Sembcorp) is pleased to announce that it has been conferred the ‘Top 10 Successful ASEAN Companies in China’ award by the China-ASEAN Business Council (CABC), a testament to the company’s achievements and contributions in China, where it has been investing and operating for the past two decades.

Organised by the CABC, one of the main dialogue cooperation mechanisms between China and ASEAN, the award recognises exemplary ASEAN companies which have achieved success in China and are well regarded by their partners. With presence spanning 14 provincial regions in China, Sembcorp has contributed to China’s growth with high-efficiency power generation and renewable energy facilities, innovative industrial water solutions, urban developments and integrated marine solutions.

The award ceremony, which took place at The Westin Beijing Chaoyang Hotel in Beijing today, was attended by some 300 dignitaries including ambassadors of the 10 ASEAN countries, Chinese government officials as well as members of the ASEAN business community in China. Receiving the award on behalf of Sembcorp was Mr Alan Yau, CEO of Sembcorp (China).
