Managing director of Petrochemical Research And Technology Company said the company has signed 13 contracts with the private sector over the past two years on transferring technical knowhow to the sector.
Speaking at a press conference Esmaeel Ghanbari further said that the company plans to sign two new contracts with the private sector pertaining to the transfer of methanol and HTDP licenses to private sector.
Petrochemical Research and Technology Company has sold more than 810 billion IR rials of technical knowhow to the private sector over the past two years, he told the press conference.
Elsewhere in his remarks he said that production capacity of methanol will reach 20 million tons within the next five years noting the company will award licenses for establishment of methanol units just to those investors who pledge to create downstream units including propylene.
According to the official, the new structure of the company is based on creating new divisions including polymers, catalysts, deploying new technologies and commercialization as well as updating the technical knowhow approaches of the company.
