Petrobras announces its Board of Directors has approved a 90-day leave for health treatment for Corporate and Services Director, José Eduardo de Barros Dutra, which may be extended if a new request is made. This approval is necessary because Petrobras By-Laws does not allow a director to be absent from his/her post for a period longer than 30 days without leave or permission from the Board of Directors.
During the director’s leave of absence, the Board has approved the appointment of Human Resources Executive Manager, Antônio Sergio Oliveira Santana, to perform on a temporary basis the duties of the Corporate and Services Director, accumulating both roles.
Antônio Sergio Oliveira is graduated with a civil engineering degree from the Federal University of Bahia (UFBA), and has specialization in Petroleum Engineering from Petrobras and an MBA in Advanced Business Management from COPPEAD / UFRJ. He has worked at Petrobras for 38 years, and has held various managerial positions.
