Flow-Cal, Inc., the market leader in measurement data management software for natural gas and petroleum liquids, has been invited to present topics on improving measurement accuracy at the annual Canadian School of Hydrocarbon Measurement (CSHM), March 17-18, 2015. Flow-Cal is sending subject matter expert and Vice President of Sales and Support Duane Harris, and Business Analyst Joe Timler to the event. Attendees will include more than 500 measurement professionals from around the globe.
Both Harris and Timler will provide attendees with an exclusive opportunity to receive hands-on training using Flow-Cal’s premier line of measurement applications. Harris will lead an hour long, hands-on lab on identifying and editing suspect measurement data with the FLOWCAL measurement application. Timler will present hands-on labs with live guided demos of Flow-Cal’s field applications, PROVEit and TESTit, which are used throughout the industry to schedule and record the calibration and testing of field equipment. Additionally, Harris will present his paper entitled Improving Flow Measurement with Improved Calibration and Data Handling, which discusses critical elements in the field calibration and verification process.

Harris, an experienced energy sector professional, has more than two decades in gas measurement technology, including the oversight of new measurement systems. As Flow-Cal’s Vice President of Sales and Support, Harris directs all customer-related initiatives for Flow-Cal’s gas and liquids products, and oversees the coordination of enterprise-level implementations. Harris has led, and holds, a number of respected positions within the various measurement schools and committees around the country.
Timler is a Business Analyst in Flow-Cal’s Product Management department and has held previous positions in Total Quality Management. As a Business Analyst, Timler is dedicated to supporting Flow-Cal’s suite of field applications. He is responsible for gathering customer requests and defect reports, and circulating them through the product management and development processes to ensure resolution.
The Canadian Institute of Hydrocarbon Measurement (CIHM) operates the Canadian School of Hydrocarbon Measurement (CSHM). CIHM is a non-profit organization in Alberta, Canada that strives to provide a technical hydrocarbon measurement education to all levels of the measurement industry.
