
Alstom sets a new record in India with the 200th unit of the 765kV transformer and reactor manufactured from its world class transformer facility at Vadodara in Gujarat. Since its inception in March 2009, this green field facility has gradually ramped up its production capabilities. Today the company has provided the highest number of 765 kV transformers and reactors for the Indian electrical grid.

Apart from Power Grid, Alstom has been supplying its world class transformers to state utilities like Uttar Pradesh Power Transmission Company Limited, Rajasthan Rajya Vidyut Prasaran Nigam Limited, Maharashtra State Electricity Transmission Company Limited. Other customers include IPPs[1] such as Larsen & Toubro, Essar and Lanco.
