Gazprom Commissions New Power Unit at Oldest CHPP in Moscow

A new combined-cycle gas turbine (CCGT-220) was put into operation at CHPP-12 of Mosenergo in the course of Gazprom’s annual General Shareholders Meeting.

The shareholders communicated with Denis Fyodorov, Director General of Gazprom Energoholding, who was in the main control room of the new power unit, through a video call.

The new CHPP-12 unit enables higher power supply reliability for metropolitan consumers and provides extra electricity for the Central and Western Administrative Districts of Moscow.

Alexey Miller, Chairman of the Gazprom Management Committee, congratulated Gazprom’s shareholders, Muscovites and employees of Gazprom Group-owned generating companies on the commissioning of another essential project.
