INPEX Corporation, Chiyoda Corporation and METAWATER Co., Ltd. (the three companies shall hereinafter be collectively referred to as the “three joint commissioned companies”),have submitted a joint proposal in response to a public invitation by Japan Oil, Gas and Metals National Corporation (JOGMEC) for a proposal on “Small-scale Demonstration of Ceramic Membrane-based Produced Water Treatment Technology - JOGMEC Technology Solutions Business Phase 2” (here in after referred to as the “commissioned work”).
The three joint commissioned companies announce that INPEX has concluded a contract concerning the commissioned work with JOGMEC on behalf of the three joint commissioned companies. The commissioned work will be carried out over a two and a half year period to demonstrate the capability of META WATER’s ceramic membrane filtration system in produced water treatment technology.
The commissioned work will take place at the Yabase Oil Field in Akita Prefecture operated by INPEX. It is expected that the successful demonstrationofceramicmembrane-basedproducedwatertreatmenttechnologywillcontribute to economic improvement in oil field production, extension of oilfield life spans, and reduction in environmental impact. By presenting this technology, the three joint commissioned companies aim to promotes table and efficient provision of energy and environmental sustainability.
