Source: www.gulfoilandgas.com 9/4/2007, Location: Europe

Eni announces that it has discovered a promising gas condensate field in the UK North Sea, West of Shetland region. The Tormore discovery lies in block 205/5a in water depth of about 610 metres, some 100 kilometres North West of the Sullom Voe Terminal on the Shetland Islands, and 15 kilometres South West of the Laggan discovery.

The discovery well (205/5a-1) was tested and flowed 32 million cubic feet of gas per day and 2,200 barrels of condensate per day.

The Tormore discovery and the potential synergies with the Laggan accumulation will be evaluated over the coming months by the Joint Venture comprising Eni UK Ltd (22.5%), Total (47.5% operator), Dong (20%) and Chevron (10%).
