SKF, the knowledge engineering company, will be showcasing a selection of its market leading solutions that optimize the performance and reliability of gearboxes at Gear Expo 2015.
SKF specialists will be on hand at the SKF booth to explain to visitors the features and benefits of the new SKF EnCompass Field Performance Programme. This innovation provides users with a more detailed analysis of the factors that influence bearing service life and enables users to optimize bearing selection and design for improved performance in real-world conditions.
Visitors will get a look at a selection of SKF’s popular bearing offerings. This includes upgraded SKF Explorer spherical roller bearings, which offer exceptionally high load carrying capacity and running accuracy, and SKF Energy Efficient (E2) deep groove ball bearings, which reduce frictional moment by 30% or more compared with the already efficient SKF standard bearings – cutting cost of ownership as well as improving performance.
SKF will also present high performance and energy efficient linear motion solutions designed for electromechanical gear cutting machinery. SKF roller screws enable longer tool life, better part quality and lower costs.
The SKF booth will also display SKF SimPro, which is part of the SKF EnCompass programme. SKF SimPro is an innovation calculation tool designed to assist engineers with selecting the right bearings for their specific application requirements and conditions to further improve the performance of assets. Visitors can also see for themselves SKF’s virtual gearbox display, which enables users to explore the inside of the jack up gearbox application and the solutions SKF offer for its components.
Furthermore, visitors to the show will be able to find a range of sealing solutions dedicated to gearboxes, as well as SKF’s lubrication solution CircOil.
Taking place on 20-22 October 2015 in Detroit, USA, Gear Expo is one of the world’s leading events for drive technology. Visitors to the show will find SKF’s solutions and specialists at Booth 1042.
