Metso has inaugurated yet another technology center. The most recent one is located in Arequipa, Peru, to support the company's customers in the Latin America. Arequipa's technology center in Peru serves Metso's customers in the mining, aggregates and process industries and is already operating in full speed closely with Metso's key customers in the region. The Arequipa facility employs over 70 experts.
"With the Arequipa technology center, the delivery time for results to our customers and the costs of testing will reduce. Also the technology center complements Metso's local offering to our customers in the region, enabling us to optimize our customer operations locally," says Roberto Valle, General Manager, Technology, Peru, Performance Services business line, Metso.
Metso has close to 50 service centers globally for its customers in the mining and aggregates industries. Recent additions to Metso's chain of service centers for mining and aggregates customers include facilities in Arizona, USA, and Mexico. A new service center will be opening in Labrador City, Canada later this year.
