Environment & Sustainable Development Club Members Visit Ecopark

Members of Environment Sustainable Development Club of the Academy of Public Administration made an Ecopark tour to see SOCAR’s environmental projects and main directions of the company’s work toward environment protection.

They also learned results of monitoring and instrumental measurement in the oil fields, analysis of samples for preliminary estimation of the environmental situation, recultivation of oil pollution areas, development of environment-friendly production processes, use of decontamination units, processing waste management, planting of greenery, as well as educational work in the field of environment protection.

The students got detailed information about the history and infrastructure of the Ecopark, wind generators, solar batteries and other technologies used there. They also learned bio-ecological features and methods of cultivation of greenhouse cultures within the park.
