Gazprom Neft Lubricants Joins ATIEL

Gazprom Neft Lubricants (operator of the Gazprom Neft lubricants business) has joined the leading organisation for European and international engine oil manufacturers and marketers — the Association Technique de l’Industrie Européenne des Lubrifiants (ATIEL).

ATIEL is one of the most respected lubricants industry associations in the world. Engaging with this organisation and its work will allow Gazpromneft Lubricants to align its own development, product innovation, and research and development (R&D) with new and developing trends in Europe, and the constantly updated requirements of car manufacturers. ATIEL’s ongoing dialogue with automobile producers’ association the Association des Constructeurs Europeens de L’Automobile (ACEA) and additives technology organisation the Additive Technical Committee (ATC) will also ensure the company’s development is fully aligned with its priority market sectors.

ATIEL’s key roles lie in promoting the exchange of knowledge and experience, managing the technical aspects of lubricant performance and ecological standards, supporting cooperation between European automotive technical organisations, developing new (and improving existing) quality standards, and promoting European standards, worldwide.

The ATIEL Code of Practice is widely used throughout the industry as a series of recommendations on lubricant development and production, consistent with ACEA standards.
