Petroleos de Venezuela, SA (PDVSA), through the Offshore Executive Office of Production, will install portable dehydration units that will process the first 300 million cubic feet per day of gas from the Dragon field of the Mariscal Sucre Project, in the eastern state.
Jesus Serrano, assistant manager of Major Projects of the Offshore Eastern Division, said that they plan to finish the installation of these units in November of this year. The units will be located in the Gas Conditioning Plant for the Internal Market. He also said that the consolidation of this project, which involves highly trained staff, is of historic importance for the country.
After meetings with international partners, PDVSA established plans for industrial safety, environment and quality management, to ensure the implementation of this activity as part of the Accelerated Production Scheme.
These portable dehydration units are part of the 650 tons in high tech equipment that arrived a week ago in Guiria, Valdez municipality, state of Sucre, for the construction of the Gas Conditioning Plant for the Internal Market and the Dragon-Cigma submarine gas pipeline.
