A working meeting between Alexey Miller, Chairman of the Gazprom Management Committee, and Alexander Kozlov, Governor of the Amur Region, took place at the Company's headquarters today.
The parties noted the strategic nature of the cooperation between Gazprom and the Amur Region. The territory of the region will be crossed by the Power of Siberia gas pipeline, which will deliver gas from the Irkutsk and Yakutia gas production centers to consumers in the Russian Far East and China.
Out of some 3,000 kilometers of Power of Siberia's linear section, about 875 kilometers will run across the Amur Region, facilitating its gasification with pipeline natural gas. Gazprom is currently finalizing the updating of the General Gas Supply and Gasification Scheme of the Amur Region. The Company also developed and submitted for approval to the Government of the Amur Region the draft program for the long-term gasification of the region until 2026.
The parties discussed the construction progress of the Amur GPP, Russia's largest gas processing plant. It was highlighted that the works were carried out according to the schedule. The project employs, inter alia, local contracting companies.
Alexey Miller and Alexander Kozlov stressed that the implementation of Gazprom's major infrastructure projects and the regional gasification program would substantially accelerate the social and economic development of the Amur Region.
