Introducing Inuktun's MUM with Cygnus DIVE Underwater Gauge

With ultrasonic technology powered by Cygnus, Inuktun successfully developed the MaggUT™ - Marine (MUM) robotic crawler for ultrasonic thickness inspections (UT) and remote visual inspections (RVI). This innovative magnetic inspection crawler seamlessly integrates the Cygnus DIVE Underwater gauge for ultrasonic thickness measurement through coatings.

The MUM system incorporates a Crystal Cam® camera, two 4000 series Microtracs™ and a pump box & hose for couplant delivery. The MSITM Measurement Stability Indicator helps affirm a stable reading in Single-echo and Echo-Echo modes employed for checking heavy back wall corrosion or pitting. The Inuktun ICON control software facilitates automation routines for implementing repeated A-Scan thickness measurements. All data is logged and synced with video frames ready for analyses and reports.

With a depth rating of 60 metres (200 feet), the MUM crawler system can be used for metal loss and wall thickness inspections of subsea structures, ship hulls, pressure vessels and large diameter pipes.
