NIOC Awarded Tandis 3D Seismic Data Acquisition to Dana Energy

NIOC Exploration Directorate has awarded Tandis 3D seismic data acquisition to Dana Energy’s geophysical services through a tender process. Tandis project covers 1,400 square Kilometer area which is located in West of Iran in the border of Iraq. Dana should implement this project in 20 months by recording data from about 80,000 explosive shots.

In Tandis project area there are mine fields and contaminated areas with UXO and Dana is obligated to clear the area prior to seismic operation. Helicopter will be used in the mountainous parts of project for supporting the operation.
