A working meeting between Alexey Miller, Chairman of the Gazprom Management Committee, and Vladimir Semashko, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Belarus, took place at the Gazprom headquarters today.
The parties discussed ongoing cooperation in the gas sector. It was noted that Gazprom provided Belarus with reliable gas supplies, delivering the required amounts of gas to Belarusian consumers. From January through July 2016, the Company supplied 10.3 billion cubic meters of gas to the Republic.
Gazprom ensures an uninterrupted transit of Russian gas across Belarus. Over the past seven months of 2016, a total of 24.2 billion cubic meters of gas was transmitted to consumers in the CIS, Europe, and the Kaliningrad Region.
The Company continues to actively prepare the Belarusian gas transmission system for operation in the upcoming autumn/winter period. Among other things, gas injection into underground gas storage facilities is proceeding according to schedule.
