Maysan Oil Company Completes Drilling Four New Wells in Halfaya Oilfield

The foreign companies operating in Maysan fields completed drilled four new wells in the Halfaya field (35 km southeast of Missan province).
The general director of Maysan Oil Company engineer Adnan Noshi Sachit said in a statement to the National Iraqi News Agency / NINA /: "The two Chinese companies Bohai and Degin recently completed drilling operations in (4) new wells in the framework of the development processes of the field run by Chinese Petrojayna company.
He added: "The total number of wells drilled in the Halfaya field since the start of development of the field operations in 2010 came to 165 wells.
The oil Halfaya field is one of large fields belonging to the Missan Oil Co. and the first well was drilled in 1976, and the field referred to Petrojayna Company to develop and increase production rates under the second licensing rounds, and currently the field produces about 200 thousand barrels per day of crude oil in addition to the amounts of gas.
