Completed the First Well in Libra Block

The Consortium Libra concluded the first completion (set of operations required to equip the well after drilled, and get it ready to produce oil and gas) Libra block in the pre-salt basin Santos . The operation was performed by the probe Carina West (NS-48).

The 3-RJS-739A well , known as NW3, is located in the northwestern part of the block, about 187 km from the coast of Rio de Janeiro and 5.3 km south of the discovery well 2-ANP-2A-RJS, at a water depth of 1951 meters.

the NW3 was equipped with intelligent completion system into two zones, which allows to control and monitor in real time the production of the well and will start operating in 2017, the first EWT Libra, linked to the Pioneer vessel platform of Libra.

The Consortium Libra is formed by Petrobras (operator with 40%), Shell (20%), Total (20%) , CNPC (10%) and CNOOC (10%) and as manager of the sharing contract production Pre-Sal Petr?leo SA (PPSA).
