Source: 11/29/2016, Location: Middle East

For 6 years now, Energy Lebanon has been one of the largest and most specialized exhibitions in the region. Placing a special emphasis on sustainable solutions and environmental technologies, Energy Lebanon 2017 is a unique opportunity to build partnerships with Lebanese and international public and private entities, and the gateway to the power sector in Lebanon, Syria, and the region.

In 2016, the show welcomed more than 450 exhibitors from 20 countries and over 21,000 visitors in a 23,000 SQM exhibition space. Organized by IFP Group (International Fairs & Promotions), Energy Lebanon 2017, the 7th International Trade Exhibition for Power, Electrical Engineering, Alternative Energy, Lighting, HVAC, Water and Environmental Technologies, will be held from 16 to 19 May 2017 in BIEL, Beirut – Lebanon.

Fueling Lebanon
Energy Lebanon is the country’s only show dedicated to energy and designed to cover all aspects of the growing industry.
• The Lebanese Center for Energy Conservation (LCEC) estimates the renewable energy market size to be between USD 300 to USD 400 million in 2016 alone.
• Lebanon is the first Arab country to develop a National Energy Efficiency Action Plan (NEEAP 2011 – 2015).
• The implementation of the second NEEAP 2016-2020, that includes 26 initiatives, will require between USD 600 and 950 million over a period of 5 years, and will result in savings exceeding USD 225 million.

Repowering Syria
The energy sector is estimated to be the second most affected in Syria, with approximately 19.62% loss at an estimated cost of USD 1,445 million. Against this backdrop, Energy Lebanon 2017 is expected to play a major role in the repowering of Syria, connecting regional and international stakeholders with Syrian experts and businesspeople. The Syrian Business Forum is a specialized conference held concurrently with Energy Lebanon, to discuss the interplay of the construction and energy sectors in Lebanon and Syria.

Energizing the Region
The electricity demand in the MENA countries is set to grow at an average annual rate of 7%, with investment in the region’s power sector estimated to reach USD 283 billion by 2018. Lebanon’s strategic location, its favorable business environment, and its highly-developed service industry, make it an ideal hub for international firms to meet their peers and expand their penetration in the regional market.

Energy Lebanon is held concurrently with Project Lebanon 2017, the 22nd International Trade Exhibition for Construction Materials and Equipment for Lebanon and the Middle East. Following more than two decades of unrivaled success, Project Lebanon is the gateway to Lebanon’s and the Levantine region’s construction markets, welcoming international public figures, diplomats, and high-ranking government officials.
