Luis Garcia Named President of Petroperu

The General Meeting of Shareholders of PETROPERU appointed Mr. Luis E. Garcia Rosell as new Chairman of the Board. Along with him to the other members who will accompany him were appointed. They are Alex Alberto Alvarado Arauzo, Hernan Barros Cruchaga, Luis Paul Sumar Gilt and Roxana Barrantes Caceres, who remains in office as a member of the Board.

This is a highly technical team, with great business experience and has the mission to take action to deal effectively allow the problem Nor Peruano oil pipeline, as well as policies for the modernization of the Company.

Significantly, Mr. Garcia Rosell, who was assuming the General Manager of PETROPERU, has extensive experience in the private sector and held important positions as CEO at the Wiese Group as well as various positions in the Backus Group, including, VP Sales, VP Finance and Corporate Comptroller General. He was also a board member of the company.
