The second sweetening row of the phases 20 & 21 refinery is operationalized and ready for the gas receipt from South Pars field phase 21 platform.
As reported by the public relations of Pars Oil and Gas Company (POGC), after the finalization of the executive operations of construction, installment, and also testing of the pipelines and splits of the second sweetening row of phases 20 & 21, the refining section has become ready for utilization and would become in use with the receipt of gas from the side of reservoir area of phase 21.
With the production and gradual transmission of gas resources with the capacity of one billion cubic feet from the phase 21 platform, the phase 20 & 21 first and second rows of sweetening each will transmit about 14 million cubic meters of gas to the domestic network after processing and sweetening.
The first sweetening row of the refinery had already been utilized with the sour gas of phases 6, 7, and 8 and had become prepared for receiving gas from the offshore facilities of phase 21 platform.
Based on the schedule of employers and contractors of the developing projects of South Pars phases 20 & 21, the two platforms each having the capacity of one billion cubic feet of gas of the offshore area and four sweetening refinery rows would be utilized within the current Persian year (ending 21 March 2017).
The third and fourth sweetening rows of these phases would also be prepared for gas production until February 2017 after the setting up and utilization operations.
The utilization of the developing project of phases 19,20,and 21has been one of the most important and prioritized plans of POGC in the current year and would add four billion cubic feet of capacity to the current extraction capacity of the South Pars common field.
