The pipeline segment from Hems to the Syrian-Turkish border will be executed either by the Syrian side or by the Arab corporation for gas.

The petroleum ministers of Egypt, Syria, Lebanon and Jordan agreed to assign Enppi to prepare the economic and technical studies for the third phase of the Arab Gas Pipeline.

On the other hand the Egyptian Minister of Petroleum Sameh Fahmy will visit Romania by the end of May to discuss the participation of Romania in establishing the export gas pipeline to Europe.
