PAO Severstal, one of the world's leading vertically integrated steel and steel-related mining companies, was ranked the second best metals and mining company in Europe for investor relations by Institutional Investor magazine. Alexey Kulichenko, Chief Financial Officer, was ranked third among the best European CFOs in the metals and mining industry.
Contenders for best investor relations were selected based on a survey conducted by Institutional Investor. This year more than 2,500 investment professionals voted in the All-Europe Executive Team survey, nominating nearly 3,000 teams from 1,500 companies, across different sectors. The IR programs were evaluated on six performance criteria, including accessibility of senior management, transparency of financial reporting and authoritative IR.
Alexey Kulichenko, Chief Financial Officer, said: “We are delighted that Severstal is regarded so highly by the investment community. This award reflects strong teamwork across all of the company’s departments and top management. It reaffirms Severstal’s commitment to the highest international standards in investor relations and we are proud to be a leader in Europe. We are pleased that we continue to see investor confidence, and this supported a successful convertible bond offering at the beginning of the year where Severstal was able to pay a zero coupon. We remain focused on meeting high standards of transparency for investors.”
