Recovery of oil from Iran’s southern oil fields rose by 30% under President Hassan Rouhani’s administration since 2013, an oil official says.

Ahmad Rajabi, director of technical affairs of the National Iranian South Oil Company (NISOC), said investment packages valued at 8 billion dollars for development of NISOC projects were defined and presented to the National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC) under the administration.

Speaking on the sidelines of the 22nd Iran International Oil, Gas, Refining and Petrochemical Exhibition (Iran Oil Show-2017), he said the company has formulated a plan for sustainable feedstock supply to gas refineries as a national project, saying the 20-year plan will be aimed at preventing supply cuts to gas refineries in the country.
