Statoil Petroleum Awards Tendeka with Additional Work

Tendeka has been awarded additional work scope with Statoil Petroleum in Norway. The additional scope covers the provision of specialist sand screens and inflow control technologies for the new Cat-J rigs, Askeladden and Askepott. Statoil have awarded this for a period of 4-years with the option to extend by two additional 2-year periods.

The two Cat-J rigs are operated under the Oseberg and Gullfaks licences, located in the Norwegian sector of the North Sea. They are tailor-made for harsh environment, shallow wells operating in depths of up to 150m and with drilling capabilities of up to 10,000m. The arrival of these two new rigs in the second quarter of 2017 will ensure continued development of the Oseberg and Gullfaks fields.

As part of this award, Tendeka has been granted a non-exclusive work scope for the further supply of sand screens, inflow control and swellable packers to a broader range of assets within the Norwegian Continental Shelf (NCS).
