Consent for Removal of Emergency Response Vessel at Norne

Statoil has received consent to change the emergency response vessel solution for the Norne field in the Norwegian Sea. Norne is an oil and gas field in the Norwegian Sea, around 80 kilometres north of Heidrun. The field has been developed using a floating production storage and offloading (FPSO) unit tied to seven well templates.

To date, Norne has had its own emergency response vessel. In connection with a change to area response for Halten Nordland, Statoil has applied for consent to remove this vessel. The area response for Halten Nordland is now covered by two vessels. We have given Statoil consent in accordance with their application.
