A contract to develop Farzad B gas field will be signed with India in a close future. National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC) is negotiating with an Indian company, ONGC, to develop Farzad B gas field. The contract is predicted to be signed by the next five months,NIOC'S deputy was quoted as saying by public relations.
Pointing to Total Company's function in SP11, Gholam Reza Manochehrisaid that relevant tenders have been held by Total for offshore, jackets, and pipelines construction and the consequences were presented to NIOC for investigation.
He also stated that the first platform of phase 14 is now operational with the daily production of 500 million cubic meters of sour gas and the second platform will be soon put into operation with the same production.
NIOC's deputy said Maersk Company joined to Total and left the negotiation process. So it retarded the second phase development of SP oil layers.In this regard, due to the complex structurein terms of production and recovery of SP oil layers, we are seeking a competent contractor to carry out its development.
