Commission the GR4 Gas Compression Station in Hassi-R'mel

A GR-4 gas compressor station was put into service in Hassi-R'mel (Laghouat wilaya) by Sonatrach group's chief executive, Abdelmoumène Ould Kaddour.

The station, which was carried out by an Italian company and whose cost reached 15.6 billion DA, includes several gas transmission lines and will have to increase the pressure from 45 to 71 bar for the shipment of gas to the national dispatching center in Hassi-R'mel and from there to the north of the country and export.

The new energy installation will also increase the global capacity of gas production to 50 billion m3 / year, it was explained by also announcing the reception of the GR-7 compression station in the course of March 2019 .

In addition, the Sonatrach CEO visited the Boosting gas project before going to the innovation center at the Production Management Training Center where he was presented with a presentation on Sonatrach's strategy at the 2030 horizon.

Among the objectives expected by the group under this strategy, the export of 50% of the production of treated gas to new international markets, as well as the creation of 15,000 direct jobs, in addition to the increase in annual activities exploration.

A presentation was also made to Sonatrach's P-dg on the Boosting project in its phase three, whose cost is estimated at 40 billion DA, for a production capacity reaching 190 million m3 / day and includes 293 km of pipes. The reception of this Boosting Phase 3 project is planned in two phases, the first between the end of 2019 and the beginning of 2020, and the second in the course of 2023, according to the explanations provided.

Abdelmoumène Ould-Kaddour said, in a press briefing, that efforts are being made to elevate Sonatrach to the rank of the top five (5) energy companies in the world, highlighting, in passing, the progress made by the group in the field of innovation and transfer.


He also recalled the objectives of the company with regard to the restructuring of human resources and continuing training to improve the potential of workers, before also mentioning the desire of large international companies to invest in Algeria , in view of the existence of many incentive factors.

The CEO of the Sonatrach group said, regarding the sponsorship of sports activities, the company's willingness to respond to this complaint raised by local authorities. (APS)
