Petroleum Minister Tareq el Mulla held a meeting with Jordanian Minister of energy and mineral wealth Hala Zawati to discuss the latest developments of joint energy projects.
During the meeting, the two ministers signed supplemental agreements regulating the purchase and sale of natural gas between the two countries.
The deals also focus on the operation of natural gas transmission networks between the two countries and give Egyptian oil firms a chance to take part in natural gas delivery projects inside Jordan.
Petroleum Minister Tareq el Mulla said the agreements come within the framework of strategic cooperation between the two countries in the fields of petroleum and energy.
The signing ceremony coincides with a visit currently paid by President Abdel Fattah El Sisi to the kingdom, the minister noted.
Zawati, meanwhile, said Egypt's supplies of natural gas to Jordan will increase this year.
She also praised the distinguished performance of Egyptian oil firms operating on the Jordanian market.
