Technical Director Matt Lewin and Senior Project Engineer Adam Westwell travelled to Brazil to meet with AES Union to discuss the partnership. The strategic alliance will see MTL delivering enhanced FPSO integrity management, safe system of work (SSOW) equipment for confined space entry, inspection leadership and on-station repairs to Brazilian FPSO owners and operators.

“They will provide skilled local trades persons for inspections and repair projects, tools and equipment to support offshore projects, and in-country materials, consumables and personnel logistics.”

With this, AES Union will be able to offer services to fulfil all FPSO tank related activities – these include; initial cleaning, through to class inspections, and concluding with any tank structural and coating repairs necessary before the tanks are returned to service – all achieved whilst the FPSOs remain on-station and in-production.”
