SIBUR Acts as an Environmental Partner for Silk Way Rally 2019

The Silk Way Rally is a major competition among global rally raids. In 2019, the rally kicked off in Irkutsk, with contestants expected to complete ten stages and cover high-speed sections in Eastern Siberia, boreal forests of Russia, roads in Mongolian grasslands, plains of China, and sands of the Goby Desert. The race finishes in China’s Dunhuang on 16 July.

SIBUR is partnering with the Silk Way Rally for the third consecutive year. In 2019, we once again supported the Eco-marathon, an environmental initiative to collect and sort plastic used throughout the race. The campaign helps promote waste sorting and environmental awareness among the racers, supporters, and community at large.

As a business that advocates responsible consumption, SIBUR sorts waste at its facilities and the corporate centre. We see the Eco-marathon as an opportunity for the racers to make a difference for the environment.”
