Gazprom and European Commission’s Monitors of Gas Transit Via Ukraine Ready for Their Mission

“At present, a group of monitors from Gazprom and the European Commission are preparing to begin their work at gas metering stations in Russia and Ukraine. They are fully ready to fly to these facilities in the shortest possible time.

However, we have not received yet via the official channels the Terms of Reference for the monitoring of the gas transit through Ukraine signed by all the parties concerned. This handicaps both our activities and the startup of the monitors’ work at the facilities they are to fly to in the nearest time,” said Gazprom official spokesman Sergey Kupriyanov.
