Head of Government of the Samara Region Victor Kudryashov and President of LUKOIL Vagit Alekperov signed today in Samara a supplemental agreement to the effective Agreement on Cooperation for 2018 – 2023.
The purpose of the document is to facilitate further continuous economic development, improve investment opportunities, create favorable environment and to evolve municipal and regional social projects.
According to the Agreement, LUKOIL has already supported construction of various public amenities, including sports and fitness centers Pobeda, Nika and Kolos, located in small towns of the Samara Region. With the continuing support from the company, the region is also constructing an additional block for the Samara Medical and Technical School.
Another initiative by the Company, intended to support local communities' endeavors, is LUKOIL's contest of social and cultural projects, held in the Samara Region for the fifth time. This year contesting applications, filed for approval of the commission, were in the following categories: Environment, Religion and Culture, Sports. The awarding ceremony of the winners took place in the Samara Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre.
