New Subsea Delivery From Grenland Group

Grenland Group has delivered another subsea structure that will contribute to increased oil production on the Norwegian continental shelf. This latest manifold is bound for the Norne field in the Norwegian Sea.

In August, a 250 tonnes protection structure for the manifold will be delivered from Grenland Group. The subsea structures from Grenland Group is a sub-contracted delivery to FMC Technologies's Norne contract with StatoilHydro.

The new development is named Norne M, which is a typical satellite development tied into existing infrastructure, that is the Norne FPSO. The production from the new M-template will together with other new wells prolong the life of the field.

- We are happy to deliver another subsea structure under our frame agreement with FMC Technologies. With these deliveries, our yards in Grenland and T?nsberg have fabricated more than 200 subsea structures for large oil- and gas fields worldwide, says Anund R?nningen, manager of Grenland Group’s yards in Grenland.

Grenland Group ASA is operating in the engineering, fabrication and installation markets for offshore and landbased industries. The company has activities in 13 fixed locations in Norway, and close to 1,200 employees. In addition, the Group has subsidiaries in Kuala Lumpur and Shanghai. In 2008, Grenland Group had a turnover of almost NOK 1.8 billion.
